Exploring Your Options: Types of House Siding
We specialize in vinyl siding but can install any type you like, whether that be wood, fiber-cement, metal, brick, or stone.
Vinyl siding is a popular option here in Columbia due to its versatility and low maintenance requirements. It's also available in a nearly endless supply of colors and textures. You can even get vinyl siding that looks like other far more expensive siding materials, such as cedar.
While metal siding can be prone to dents and dings, overall, it’s a very durable option that’s resistant to insect and pest damage. Steel and aluminum are the most common types of metal siding, with aluminum being the more affordable of the two.
Wood offers a classic look but is generally more expensive and higher maintenance than something like vinyl. It’s also more prone to pests.
Fiber-cement siding offers an excellent look-alike alternative to wood siding. The cost is similar, but it's lower maintenance and isn't susceptible to pests and rot.
Stone, brick, or concrete
These siding types are a bit less common, especially for residential buildings in South Carolina, due to their overall cost. However, they can be a way to add a unique touch to your home and are exceptionally durable.
If you’re not sure what type of siding is best for your home, we can walk you through your options in more detail and offer some suggestions. It’s all part of the installation process!
